My character is around 50 years old and is Rachel’s father. He has just killed her mother (my wife) because she was going to kill Rachel and I couldn't let that happen, now Im about to be executed because I just killed someone. This is the last time I am going to see Rachel before I die and Im just trying to convince her that A. I did it for her good and B. I have letters that will change what you think of this. The current emotion of the character is that he needs to explain to her what really happened because he is going to die soon, he franticly tries to tell her that he loves her, he was protecting her, and that she needs to find the letters because they will explain absolutely everything.

Character Study/Scene Study
My character is just a rogue inspector for the FBI or some other agency but I just wish I could do a british accent for this. He is around the age of 30 and his family is normal with a son and a sympathetic wife that over-pampers him. He lives in a mansion and loves books. His motivation is just to correct his mistakes and try to be the superhero in his comic books. He's a rich man from England that loves comic books and has a huge house because of rich parents. The scene is after he quits "the agency" and he finds some other life form that he thinks is trying to take him back to the agency.

In Class Writing
I thought that my group’s performance went relatively well and there wasn't much trouble as we didn't use many props and just used small props and didn't need to tweak anything. One thing is that the setting was a bit awkward because I had to craw around the table and the end looked awkward too because Jack sometimes wasn't in the shot and you couldn't really see the gun get put in my hand. The other group did well even though there were some blooper reel worthy moments but they had a lot of specific things planned out and I really liked the music choice they had.

Monologue #2
At first I suspected something--
She acted so calm and absent-minded.
And one day I heard the back door shut,
As I entered the front, and I saw him slink
Back of the smokehouse into the lot,
And run across the field.
And I meant to kill him on sight.
But that day, walking near Fourth Bridge,
Without a stick or stone in hand,
All of a sudden I saw him standing there,
Scared to death, holding his rabbits,
And I could say was, “Don’t, Don’t, Don’t,”
As he aimed and fired at my heart.

In-class Writing
Motivation - Motivation is very important to a character's development because without the motivation you wouldn't know what he's doing anything for, why would he say kill someone or swear revenge because somebody killed someone. The murderer could've killed a random person or his mother giving him the motivation to most likely take revenge on this murderer.
Backstory - A character's backstory usually ties into his motivation as a character's motivation is usually told in his backstory.
Setting - As my monologue takes place in what I suppose is a trailer home it kinda says that the guy is poor and maybe a redneck. I can tell its going to be an angry scene because most trailer scenes are fights and finding out people are cheating. Setting ties in with motivation usually and sometimes is part of the backstory

Monologue
Hi, my name is Duncan. A slushy of culture and personalities, born in Atlanta, raised in an english speaking Chinese household, growing up apart of the “Asian Gamers” but also the “White Cool Kids”, going to an international school but ever since I can remember I could speak Chinese. I am a writer, a poet, a social butterfly, but also really really lazy. Despite the fact I play video games all day I spend the whole time trying to make plans to go out with friends, wether its going to a grocery store on "Get Fat Fridays" or chilling on top the roofs of restaurants at midnight with a big can of whipped cream Im up for anything. Heres the thing though, I care about friends more than family, crazy right? And if theres one thing I cant live without it'd be companionship, so don’t mess with my friends and especially don’t lay a finger on my girlfriend *soldier voice* I am the hug that reassures you are loved and safe, I am the tears cried with every wave that breaks, even though the past bites back I make no mistake, I am Duncan Alexander, Silloway
